He became known as ‘The Pianist of Yarmouk’. The images of Aeham Ahmad playing his piano amidst the rubble of war in Syria were picked up by the international press and broadcast worldwide. His music defied the violence and brought hope. In 2015, he was forced to flee! He now lives in Germany with his family and gives concerts all over Europe. With his music, he calls out for empathy for those who have lived and will always live with memories of war. With his music, help of the narrator and supported by strong images, Aeham tells his story of a once peaceful life, the devastation and terror of war, escape, separation and new life.
